It’s been said, “Everyone has a book in them, but in most cases that’s where it should stay.” We disagree. It’s just that not everyone knows how to tell their own story. We’re here to help.
Pretty Human is a non-profit documentary production team dedicated to capturing true stories of human connection, perseverance, and inspiration. We think you’re pretty great, beautiful even, in your own unique way. And despite being quite good at what we do, we also retain our humanity in doing it. That’s why we named ourselves Pretty Human, because you are, and so are we.
We feel that stories must be as entertaining as they are enlightening—pretty as they are human. See some work below…

Chris Groban
director
Chris is an award-winning director, writer, and editor, whose work has helped raise millions for various humanitarian causes. Some of his eclectic work includes creating and directing television documentaries On The Record with Mick Rock for Ovation network and the forthcoming Confluence for PBS, visual design projects for Beyonce, Bruno Mars, and the CFDA Awards among many others, as well as editing Joe Manganiello’s feature documentary La Bare, which played in theaters nationwide. He’s learning to speak Turkish and usually has a cold brew coffee within arm’s reach.
Justin Gilley
producer
For the past 20 years Justin has produced union and non union feature films, television shows, commercials, film festivals, and music videos. Some of his work includes the feature film Skateland (2008), which received a Grand Jury Prize Nomination at Sundance, and the award winning rock-documentary Echotone (2010), both of which played in theaters nationwide. He just had his first child Jack and is vehemently against the use of straws.
